What Is All Star Cheer & Dance?

All Star is the sport term used to represent competitive Club Cheer and Dance. All Star teams differ from cheer and dance teams that primarily support schools or recreational organizations.

All Star athletes train and perform for the challenge and thrill of competition in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment. While the term all-star often evokes the image of a team which is comprised primarily of outstanding performers or participants, All Star Cheer and Dance is a place for everyone. Regardless of prior experience, All Star training facilities offer classes and teams for first-time cheerleaders and dancers through the most elite athletes in the sport.

This is a unique co-ed sport allows teams compete against each other with routines comprised of tumbling, stunts, jumps, pyramids, and dance ages 3 and up, ranging in skill levels 1-6 who compete at events locally, state-wide, and nationally.

What Is Commitment?

Our full year season begins in June and lasts through early May. Dance and Mid year teams have delayed start times. Teams typically practice for one-two days a week at minimum. Additional practices for choreography, competition preparedness, and for extra work are at the coaches' discretion but should be expected. Attendance is crucial to each teams' success and athletes will only be allowed to miss a limited number of practices throughout the season.

The Evaluation Process?

Teams are built based on the United States All Star Federation (USASF) age grid with the criteria of tumbling, stunts, jumps, pyramids, and dance based on the gyms athlete evaluation scoresheet. When forming teams, we are looking for a full mastery of skills within each level as well as ideal combinations for superior stunting. Our goal is to build successful teams to compete against the best of the best so while some evaluations might not be the selection of choice is is our process tp build the most successful on the competition floor.
